Jim Harbaugh co-authored a book and it is everything you would expect it to be

Jim Harbaugh's book will hit the shelves soon, and it embodies him perfectly.

Jim Harbaugh has referenced "enthusiasm unknown to mankind" on a number of occasions since taking over as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines. Now, that is the title of a seven-pound, image-laden book that is set to become available in late August.

Harbaugh and co-author David Turnley, who happens to be a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer, addressed assembled media on Friday, and Nick Baumgardner of MLive.com was there to document the proceedings. Among other things, the always entertaining head coach had this to say about the context of the book.

"Our whole team made a book. Every person (involved with the program) made a book. David (was with us) every day for 365 days of Michigan football."

Beyond that, Baumgardner offers a detailed explanation of just what the book contains:

The book opens with a 16-page treatise authored by Harbaugh himself. In that section, Harbaugh outlines his "15 principles" that serve as the foundation for his program at Michigan: The team, the team, the team, Attitude, Enthusiasm, Competition, Hard work, Decision-making and problem solving, Meritorcacy in football, Success, Being coachable, Discipline, Matters of principle, Four ways I can cheat my players, The love of the game, The five dysfunctions of a team and "Who's got it better than us?"

Michigan fans will undoubtedly be falling over themselves in order to get their hands on a book directly from Harbaugh's perspective, and the images leaked on Friday were, at least at times, breath-taking. Prominently featured in the book will be the program's reaction to the now infamous loss to Michigan State, as well as several memorable Harbaugh-based moments from what was a whirlwind season in Ann Arbor.

Oh, and for good measure, Harbaugh isn't making a cent.

Jim Harbaugh is a constant source of entertainment and intrigue for the college football world, and now, the public can get a more in-depth look at the enthusiasm and life that he has displayed in invigorating the Michigan football program.
