4-star CB Kelvin Joseph admits the one school that has the best shot to flip him from hometown commitment

One SEC team's loss could be another's gain.

Four-star cornerback Kelvin Joseph has been committed to LSU since February of 2016, but he could be wavering in his commitment in favor of a division rival.

Joseph told BamaOnLine that Alabama has the best chance to change his commitment.

"They're still right there," Joseph said. "Right now I'd say Alabama (has the best shot to flip me)."

Joseph is from Baton Rouge, and he said LSU is still the favorite. But he acknowledged that Alabama is still in the mix, and he said he frequently talks with Nick Saban and Alabama defensive backs coach Derrick Ansley.

Joseph said if he flips to Alabama, Nick Saban will be the reason why.

"Nick Saban. You can't go wrong with Nick Saban," Joseph said. "You play in his secondary, you're bound to go to the NFL."

He said both schools feel like family, but he is "80-90 percent" committed to LSU.

Nick Saban and Co. are no strangers to stealing recruits from Baton Rouge. Five-star linebacker Dylan Moses, of Baton Rouge, committed to Alabama in the 2017 recruiting class.

Joseph is the No. 7 cornerback and the No. 2 player from the state of Louisiana, according to 247Sports. He is the No. 45 overall player in the Class of 2018.
