Ken Griffey Jr. is one of the greatest baseball players to ever lace up his cleats. He is in the Hall of Fame, has 630 home runs, 2,781 total hits, 1,836 runs batted in and was a 13-time All-Star. But even though he was drafted No. 1 overall in the 1987 MLB Draft he actually had more offers to play college football than baseball. He revealed where he would have played should he have chosen the path of the pigskin.
Griffey grew up in Cincinnati where his dad played for the Reds in the 1970s and so that would have been a huge recruiting coup to get him out of Buckeye country. It's probably for the best that he ended up in baseball or we would have not been treated to 22 years of greatness and consistency.
