Kirk Herbstreit thinks another team, not A&M or Washington, is deserving of a Top 4 spot

Herbstreit made the statement earlier on College GameDay.

If you looked at the headline and knew that Ohio State was No. 6 in the Playoff rankings, you would probably try to connect the dots. "Oh, of course the former Buckeyes QB thinks Ohio State should be in the Top 4."

But as Lee Corso loves to say: Not so fast, my friend!

That's right, Herbstreit thinks that Louisville — not Texas A&M, Washington, or Ohio State — is a Top 4 team in the country along with Alabama, Clemson, and Michigan.

It's a bold pick by Herbstreit, as Louisville has had some struggles recently with Virginia and Duke. However, their only loss is to No. 2 Clemson, and they will always have that 63-20 win over Florida State to tout on their resume.

If Louisville still wants to make it to the Playoff, they do have one more big game at Houston to impress the College Football Playoff committee. Otherwise, they might need some help from the teams ahead of them.
