Lane Kiffin passes blame after questionable coaching decision causes outrage

Lane Kiffin, hours after reportedly agreeing on a new 10-year deal with FAU, showed out in the Boca Raton Bowl against Akron, with a 50-3 blowout.

Some, however, took offense to Kiffin's decision to go for a two-point conversion up 34-3.

The disrespect didn't stop, as Kiffin and Co. ran up the score, leaving no doubt in a signature bowl game win.

After the contest, Kiffin admitted it wasn't by chance his team ran up the score — it was by design:

With a new contract in place, it may not be out of the norm for Kiffin to make statements by way of beating down opponents.
