One of the biggest names in college football reportedly wants the head coaching job at scandal-torn Ole Miss

WOW!

One word — WOW.

Look who is reportedly interested in becoming the new head coach at Ole Miss? Yes. Les Miles. The words comes from USAToday.

Hugh Freeze set the coaching world on fire last week when he resigned his job as the Ole Miss head man in the midst of an NCAA investigation, and after a call to an escort service was discovered on his university-issued cell phone. The university AD said that if Freeze had not quit, he would have been fired because he had exhibited "a pattern of conduct that is not consistent with our expectations as the leader of our football program."

Interestingly enough, Miles name appeared on a list of the top five betting candidates to get the Ole Miss job. He was number four, but clearly, he's making moves to be No. 1.

Miles was fired as the head coach at LSU four games into the season, as the Tigers sputtered to a 2-2 record, and Miles was criticized for an offensive style — he favors smash-mouth, bowl 'em over football — that some found to be too rigid and behind the times.

But, he is a coach with credentials. He's won a national championship (2007),  two SEC championships, 10 or more games in seven of his 11 full seasons, and has won 77 percent of his games. And, he's made no secret that he wants to coach again.

It will be interesting to see where this goes, especially since the cheers for Miles are already beginning:
