Les Miles, Tom Herman lead the odds to take over these two jobs next season

Could they really take over these jobs?

If you put any stock into what Vegas has to say on sports, then you might want to pay attention to what one sports book has as potential destinations for former LSU coach Les Miles and current Houston coach Tom Herman

The online sports book BookMaker currently has Les Miles with good odds to be either the head coach at Texas or Notre Dame for the 2017 season. For the Notre Dame job, Miles is only behind incumbent Brian Kelly, who is the favorite at +130 odds.

The Texas job, on the other hand? Tom Herman is the massive favorite to take over, placing at -130 to be the Longhorns coach next season. Current Texas head coach Charlie Strong is the next favorite at +300, and then Miles sits in third at +440.

It still seems unlikely that Notre Dame does pull the trigger on firing Kelly this season, so placing Miles so high on that odds list may seem premature. However, Herman has definitely been the favorite for the Texas job for several weeks now. The fact that Miles may be a contender for that job as well may be the biggest surprise out of all of this.
