The Arizona Cardinals released receiver Michael Floyd two days after he was arrested for a DUI and failing to obey an officer. And it didn't take long for him to find a new gig, with the powerhouse New England Patriots.
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said the decision to release Floyd was a unanimous decision by him, general manager Steve Keim and team president Michael Bidwill. Floyd, who played college football for Notre Dame, had 33 receptions for 446 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Police officers said they found Floyd unconscious behind the wheel of his running vehicle at an intersection early Monday morning. Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer said it was a "tough day" for him and the organization.
"It's a tough day," Palmer said. "Mike's a close friend of mine, offseason golfing buddy, workout partner, so it's tough. I believe in Mike. I hope for nothing but the best for Mike, and look forward to seeing what he does with the next opportunity he gets."
Floyd, 27, had three alcohol-related incidents while at Notre Dame, including a DUI as a senior.
