4-star LB Michael Harris won't wait on Ohio State, commits to an SEC power that's closer to home

What a pickup!

Michael Harris was tired of waiting.

The 4-star inside linebacker from Tucker, GA., had eyes for Ohio State. But when the Buckeyes made him wait, he decided to takes his skills elsewhere. He's announced he's staying in state and going to Auburn.

"The recruiting process has been a long one, but I feel like now is the time to announce my college choice. With so many great schools offering me a scholarship, it was not a simple process. Therefore, I'd like to thank each and every school for recruiting me, but with the love and support of my friends, coaches, and the Tucker High nation, I am announcing my commitment to Auburn University."

SB Nation reported that Harris, a 6'2", 215 pounder, wanted to go to Ohio State, but the Buckeyes hadn't made their commitment to him, so he's going to Auburn. He had offers from traditional powers like Alabama, Oklahoma and Florida. Scout.com lists Harris as the No. 13 inside linebacker prospect in the country.
