Nation's top CB Patrick Surtain Jr. has two schools atop his list after initially revealing a "favorite"

This recruitment has been all kinds of fun.

Patrick Surtain Jr.'s recruitment has been one of the most followed ones this recruiting cycle and for good reason. He's the top cornerback in the country according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings and the No. 4 overall player in the class of 2018. He's been flip-flopping back and forth between FSU and LSU as his top schools and now he's stuck to calling them "1A and 1B" for now.

Surtain told 247Sports that "[LSU and FSU] are there because of the visits and the communication I have with the coaches." He has said that he likes both defensive back coaches in FSU's Charles Kelly and LSU's Corey Raymond and both coaches have made it out to spring practices and game for the young man.

Surtain also said that Florida, Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama and Miami are still in the mix. It sounds like they have some serious catching up to do though as LSU and FSU are daily communicators and he just got to Ohio State for a visit. He's hoping to get to a camp at Alabama and mentioned that he would consider making his decision mid-season this year.
