No. 2 athlete Mario Goodrich has made a decision on his college future

Goodrich is ranked the No. 2 athlete by the 247 player rankings.

Four-star Mario Goodrich (6-foot-2, 180 pounds, Lees Summit, MO) is one of the most versatile athletes of the 2018 class, being listed from a wideout, defensive back, and all-purpose player across his recruiting profiles.

On Tuesday, Goodrich — ranked the No. 2 athlete by the 247 player rankings — announced his collegiate decision, as Goodrich tweeted out that he had committed to Nebraska.

"First and foremost, I would like to thank God for the blessings bestowed upon me. Next, I would like to thank my family for the sacrifices that they've made and for always being there to unconditionally support me. Finally, I want to thank my coaches and my teammates for motivating me and pushing me to become a better player - and more than that, a better person. After giving this decision a lot of thought and consideration, I have chosen to continue my education and football career as a Husker at The University of Nebraska!"

Goodrich is another strong prospect for the 2018 Nebraska recruiting class, which currently ranks sixth in the nation over at 247Sports. Head coach Mike Riley has done a great job of adding talent in the past couple of years, and all of that work should start to pay off real dividends in the future.
