Ohio State falls from top 2017 recruiting rankings slot

Ohio State fans won't be thrilled.

While Ohio State has held the top spot in the 2017 recruiting rankings for much of the session, Alabama overtook the Buckeyes Tuesday night after landing five-star offensive tackle Jedrick Wills, per 247sports.

Alabama has 22 commitments for the class, which includes big names like running back Najee Harris, linebacker Dylan Moses, and offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood.

Back in June, Leatherwood said Alabama would have the "best ever in recruiting history."

Alabama, as of this writing, has five five-star recruits, 11 four-star recruits and five three-stars to put together a 299.06 overall score.

Ohio State isn't far behind, at 298.61, with five five-star recruits, 11 four-star recruits and one three-star.
