One forgotten RB just blazed a 4.37 at the Combine

This NFL Draft hopeful left a big-time impression with his speed.

Elijah Hood served as "the" running back for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2016. The talented ball-carrier still lived largely in the shadow of future 1st-round pick Mitch Trubisky in the backfield but, for the most part, Hood received a great deal of attention for his high-end ability at the position. However, Hood was not the only dynamic player with the ball in his hands and, at the NFL Draft Combine, former North Carolina running back T.J. Logan made a massive impression.

Logan's 4.37-second performance in the 40-yard dash turned quite a few heads in Indianapolis and, on the field, he has also been quite effective. The uber-athletic running back rushed for 650 yards and seven touchdowns in support of Hood in 2016 and Logan also added 244 yards and three scores through the air as a pass-catcher.

Still, he was flying largely under the radar before this exceptional showing of pure speed and there are now rumblings of him making a great deal of extra money as a result of this performance. Speed in a straight line can often be overrated at the running back position, but Logan has shown enough of a varied skill set where this 40-yard performance probably isn't a pure outlier and it will be interesting to see where he lands in the draft pecking order.
