One school lands two desperately needed commitments on Saturday

Why land one top recruit in one day when you can have two?

Why land one top recruit in one day when you can have two?

That's what the Maryland Terrapins and new head coach D.J. Durkin got on Saturday, as the Terrapins landed commitments from four-star quarterback Kasim Hill (6-foot-3, 215 pounds, Baltimore, MD) and three-star linebacker Ayinde Eley (6-foot-5, 205 pounds, Olney, MD).

Those two were on top of Maryland landing four-star defensive tackle Cam Spence (6-foot-5, 285 pounds, Bradenton, FL) on Friday.

The Terrapins have been in a bit of a rut in recent years, so adding three high-profile local recruits is always a plus. The three commits put Maryland up to five in the 2017 class. According to 247Sports, this raises Maryland to 27th in the 2017 recruiting rankings, ahead of LSU and Florida.
