Pac-12 starter makes an absolutely stunning transfer decision

This is not a move you would expect from a starting-caliber player.

may not be a household name among college football fans across the country but he is an established player for the Arizona State Sun Devils. The talented defensive back was entrenched as a starter for the Pac-12 program as the 2017 season approached and, frankly, that makes the decision that he announced on Tuesday all the more baffling.

Orr will be leaving Arizona State in favor of a transfer to UT-Chattanooga.

Orr referred to "issues that have occurred over the past weeks" in his send-off via Twitter and that statement should raise some eyebrows with regard to the circumstances surrounding his departure. With that said, there is nothing publicly available when it comes to information so we are left to assume that Orr is simply looking to return closer to home.

The soon-to-be junior will be eligible immediately given the fact that he is moving down a level to FCS and, after all, Orr grew up near UT-Chattanooga's campus to make this a little less wild. Still, there will be plenty of intrigue as to the specifics surrounding this decision, as no one would have predicted that a starting level player from the Pac-12 would be headed to FCS without extenuating circumstances.
