Awful Arizona State fans started chanting at Washington while a player was being stretchered off the field

This is just awful.

Fans often get caught up in the moment, especially when their teams is about to pull of a historic upset. However, this is still no excuse for this.

No. 5 Washington was upset 13-7 by unranked Arizona State on Saturday, and one of the more memorable moments from the game will be when Washington defensive back Jordan Miller suffered an injury that required him to be stretchered off the field.

As usual, most fans were respectful during the injury. However, a certain contingent of the home Arizona State fans started to chant "overrated" at Washington while Miller — who had clearly suffered a very serious leg injury — was about to be carted off the field.

For what it's worth, it does sound like the remaining fans in the stadium that were not chanting shut down the chant rather quickly. But seriously, that was the time you chose to do that chant, guys? It's already a dumb chant — literally saying "hey, the team we beat isn't actually that good, therefore..." — but to do it when a guy is down with what could be a career changing injury? Just awful and not the look you want for your team after they got a big win.

We send our best wishes to Miller in his recovery.
