USC head coach Clay Helton shared a short clip of his team from a previous game prior to last week’s matchup against UCLA via Twitter on Saturday.

The video features quarterback Sam Darnold and tight end Daniel Imatorbhebhe doing a choreographed handshake, but there’s something strange in the background.

Wide receiver Deontay Burnett seems to disappear during the clip, as pointed out by 4-star 2019 wide receiver prospect Julian Barnett.

Woah.

Where did he go? I’ve watched this clip several times and I still can’t make sense of it.

There’s no sign of Burnett on either side of any player in the video. Perhaps maybe he ran off behind one of the teammates in the background as Darnold and Imatorbhebhe did that layup thing toward the end in opposite directions?

I don’t know, but apparently there’s some strange magic going on at Southern Cal.
