Potential first-round NFL Draft pick arrested on Wednesday

It has been bad news for NFL Draft hopefuls from Mississippi State over the past week or so.

On Wednesday, defensive lineman Chris Jones was arrested and charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license. According to the Clarion-Ledger, Jones was pulled over at 2:22 p.m. due to speeding, and after failing to produce a valid drivers license, he was arrested.

Jones was released after a $922 bond.

At 6-foot-6 and 310 pounds, Jones is one of the most imposing physical specimens in this year's NFL Draft. Jones was responsible for 102 total tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks in his three-year career at Mississippi State. Jones is currently projected by ESPN to go late first-round to early second-round in the Draft.
