Potential No. 1 pick makes an interesting decision on the NFL Draft

Well this is interesting.

Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett may be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming Draft, but it looks like he will have no part in the live ceremonies that day in Philadelphia.

Houston Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman reported on Friday that Garrett won't be attending the 2017 NFL Draft ceremonies, as he will instead stay home to spend the moment with his family.

It's not unheard of for top picks to sit out the Draft, but it is unusual enough as the NFL — and the NBA, for that matter — try as hard as they can to have the top picks in the first round at the ceremony. Of course, the team that selects Garrett probably won't care about that; they will just be glad to have him once training camp rolls around.
