Four-star prospect thinks No. 1 overall recruit Justin Fields 'doesn't fit right' with one finalist

Will this kid turn out to be right?

The recruitment of No. 1 overall recruit and five-star quarterback Justin Fields has become one of the most intriguing this year. He was originally committed to Penn State, but opened up his recruitment and has taken a few visits to several schools including Florida, Auburn and Georgia for sure. However, Auburn commit and four-star receiver Quindarious Monday said that there's no way he ends up with the Bulldogs.

Monday told 247Sports that Georgia is just not the right fit and gave a pretty specific example why:

"To be honest, I just don't think Justin will end up going to Georgia. He just doesn't fit right. And they already have two great quarterbacks. I talk to Justin and Kearis [a high school teammate] a lot. We have a group chat. I think Auburn has a great shot. It's a really great program. They've always had a great offense, but they've sometimes just been lacking at quarterback. That's a pretty big deal."

He does make a good point in that Fields would likely end up waiting two years to play unless he can somehow beat out Jake Fromm in his freshman year. Monday also said that he believes deep down that Fields will join him at Auburn:

"I think he'll be going to Auburn. My heart is telling me that so bad. I pray he comes over there. ... I'm going to be recruiting real hard. I know I'm going to be playing with some great players. Now, we're trying to get players like Kearis and Justin to come on board. We've got some great commits. We just need a little bit more."

Right now, the 247Sports crystal ball has Florida State with the most predictions to land Fields with Georgia and Florida right behind in that order. Fields holds 40 offers as well with some from Alabama, LSU, Oregon, Tennnessee, TCU, Texas and West Virginia among several others.
