It looks like things are really starting to clear up for five-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer.

Salyer (6-foot-4, 342 pounds, Atlanta, Ga.) said in an interview with Rivals that Notre Dame has joined the group of Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, and Stanford as the contenders in his recruitment. Notre Dame joins the list after Salyer took a recent visit to South Bend, describing this visit as “different” for him.

“I can see them more as a contender now,” said Salyer to Rivals. “I just got more time with the players and coaches. It was definitely different this time.

Salyer is ranked as one of the top players of the 2018 class. 247Sports has him as the No. 9 overall recruit, and the No. 1 offensive guard for the class. 247Sports currently has Georgia as the current favorite for Salyer, followed by Clemson.
