Popular SEC bar apologizes after photos of apparent noose, pro-Confederate cup emerge

The explanation for both instances could help to soften the blow.

Reggie's isn't the only bar in Baton Rouge (by any means) but the popular establishment in "Tigerland" is under serious fire. In short, the bar displayed an apparent noose hanging from the ceiling and a cup that was sympathetic to the confederacy over the weekend.

The images were captured on social media and continue to be displayed there. (h/t The Advocate)

In response, the establishment's official Twitter account issued a swift apology and, within that apology, attempted to explain the existence of both the cup and the rope hanging from the top of the building.

While the explanation for both instances could help to soften the blow, this is, quite obviously, very bad PR for the popular and well-known bar. It remains to be seen if there will be more to this story after Reggie's pledged to "continue to respond to feedback in the appropriate manner" but, for now, this isn't a good look.
