Alabama reportedly suffers unexpected loss on defense

Uh oh.

Alabama is not used to receiving too many losses on the field or off it, but it looks like the latter might have taken place recently. According to Matt Zenitz of AL.com, linebacker Shawn Jennings is no longer listed on the roster for the Crimson Tide.

Jennings is the brother of current Crimson Tide linebacker Anfernee Jennings. He did not see the field at all last season as he redshirted for his freshman season. He was originally a three-star recruit in the 2016 class and had offers from Auburn and Memphis coming out of Dadeville in Alabama.

It's unclear if the 6'1", 223-pound LB is transferring out or just not with the team right now. He was originally an early enrollee and was on campus in January of 2016 rather than coming in the summer.
