Despite Najee Harris’ commitment to Alabama, things are reportedly getting interesting for the nation’s top prospect and No. 1 overall running back.

According to Scout, Harris is reportedly set to decide between keeping his near two-year commitment to Alabama, or bouncing to Jim Harbaugh for easily one of his biggest coups at Michigan to date.

“I’m still committed to Alabama, but I will know for sure by Saturday where I’m going to go,” Harris told, per SDS. “I’m not going to announce anything during the game or anything like that. I’ll just know where for sure I’m going. I know I’m going from San Antonio to college.”

Harris, a five-star prospect, rushed for just under 3,000 yards and had 36 total touchdowns last season.

Despite the reported interest, Harris’ commitment is projected 50 percent to USC, 33 percent to Michigan and just 17 percent to Alabama, per 247sports’ Crystal Ball.

“I’m going to take my five visits, but I just don’t know where,” Harris said (in October), per Jim Halley of USA Today. “Let’s say this: My mind isn’t set on Alabama. I’m not 100 percent set on Alabama. I’m trying to see what else is out there for me. I’m using my visits to see. As much attention as I’ve gotten, I feel like I have helped my teammates get some offers, too.”

Harris has offers from Alabama, Michigan, USC, Ohio State, Georgia, Notre Dame, Texas and Tennessee, among others.

Cam Akers, another Alabama target and the No. 2 running back in the country, committed to Florida State last week. He was also at one time committed to Alabama before eventually decommitting. Akers is the No. 4 overall player in the recruiting cycle.
