Former four-star recruit transferring out of Alabama in stunning decision

This isn't good at all.

Alabama may be loaded at running back heading into the 2017 season — most notably with Najee Harris, Damien Harris and Bo Scarbrough — behind quarterback Jalen Hurts, but they'll be without B.J. Emmons.

AL.com is reporting that Emmons has left the team and plans to transfer to another school.

By adding Harris into the mix this year, it's easy to forget how highly touted Emmons was as a high school recruit just two years earlier, as 247sports had him ranked as the No. 2 RB overall in the class.

The speculation has already started as to where Emmons will transfer to, as if he goes to another D-1 school right away, he'll have to sit out a season.

Rick Karle notes that Hutchison Community College is a possibility for the supremely talented back in 2017.

Emmons will be eligible to play and sign with any D-1 school in 2018.
