With the success that Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts has had running the football for the Tide this season, it quickly became a question of not if but when Hurts would break the record for most rushing yards in a season for an Alabama quarterback. That moment came Saturday against Chattanooga as Hurts would break the record in the third quarter against the Mocs.
The record was previously held by Tide quarterback Steadman Shealy who played for the Tide from 1976-'79, winning two titles for the Tide.
