Alabama recruit decommits during an official visit to another school

This isn't going well for Bama.

This hasn't been the usual recruiting cycle for Alabama...

Already behind where they usually are at this point, Alabama's 2018 recruiting class took a hit on Saturday when four-star offensive lineman Jarrett Bell (6-foot-5, 295 pounds, Norco, Ca.) reportedly decommitted from the Crimson Tide.

The interesting part behind the decommit? Bell, a California native, is currently on an official visit to UCLA. There seems to be no indication of an immediate flip coming, but it looks like the visit impressed enough that Bell wants to weigh his options.

There is still a lot of time left in the 2018 recruiting class, and the Crimson Tide are still in the running for several of the nation's top recruit for this year. That said, Alabama's recruiting class is clearly behind where they usually are at this time in the year, as they only have 11 commitments so far in their 2018 class. Alabama currently ranks ninth in the SEC (23rd overall) in recruiting per the 247Sports team rankings.

Bell is rated as a four-star by Rivals.com, and as a high three-star by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
