Former Florida head coach Jim McElwain reportedly in talks for his next potential job

Will it really happen?

Former Florida head coach Jim McElwain was fired this past season and has already had reported interest from Oregon State and UCLA at one point. However, it looks like he could be getting back to his coordinator roots as Aaron Suttles is reporting that he has been in talks with Alabama to re-join Nick Saban.

Suttles says that multiple sources have told him that the former Colorado State and Florida head coach has had recent conversations with Nick Saban to join the staff again as former offensive coordinator Brian Daboll left to go back to the NFL.

McElwain could become the offensive coordinator yet again as he held the position from 2008 to 2011 before taking the head coaching job at Colorado State. He's also had stops at Montana State, Eastern Washington, Louisville, Michigan State, Fresno State and the NFL's Oakland Raiders in some sort of offensive coaching capacity.
