Johnny Manziel has advice for Ohio State on how to beat Alabama

Johnny Manziel's rise to fame might not have been so dramatic if it weren't for a big win in 2012.

Just one of six teams in the past eight seasons to knock off the Alabama Crimson Tide, Manziel might know a thing or two about how to beat Nick Saban's team.

So when asked by Cleveland.com, Manziel offered a few tips for Ohio State:

"You absolutely give respect where it's due, and they're a program that has won numerous national championships and been at the top of the SEC," Manziel said.

"You respect them, but you don't fear them. Don't force things. Sometimes it's OK to punt the ball and get a stop on defense."

Under quarterback Cardale Jones and head coach Urban Meyer, Ohio State will look to battle the Tide on New Year's Day at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
