The Alabama quarterback battle has been brewing all summer and it’s gone up to the very last minute for the Crimson Tide. Initially, it was thought to be a battle between Jalen Hurts and Blake Barnett, but it turns out it was between Barnett and Cooper Bateman. AL.com is reporting¬†Barnett will be the signal caller to start the game.

Barnett will become the youngest quarterback to start under Nick Saban at Alabama as a redshirt freshman. The former five-star recruit will make his first career start and hopefully won’t disappoint against the No. 20 USC Trojans.
