Report: Alabama has its starting QB against USC

It's about time we got a starter.

The Alabama quarterback battle has been brewing all summer and it's gone up to the very last minute for the Crimson Tide. Initially, it was thought to be a battle between Jalen Hurts and Blake Barnett, but it turns out it was between Barnett and Cooper Bateman. AL.com is reporting Barnett will be the signal caller to start the game.

Barnett will become the youngest quarterback to start under Nick Saban at Alabama as a redshirt freshman. The former five-star recruit will make his first career start and hopefully won't disappoint against the No. 20 USC Trojans.
