Yet another Alabama star becomes latest victim in bizarre string of injuries

This is definitely a bit weird.

Alabama is known for putting excellent athletes into the NFL and making their players into high draft picks as well. However, the school might become known for an odd string of injuries that have occurred in the past couple of years. The latest victim is linebacker and baseball player Keith Holcombe.

He becomes the third Crimson Tide player to suffer a torn labrum in his shoulder as Reuben Foster and Jonathan Allen suffered similar injuries. Those injuries cost both players some money and draft spots in the NFL Draft that took place last week.

The 6'4". 227-pound Holcombe will be a junior this year and therefore eligible for the draft. So hopefully this kind of injury doesn't hurt him in the long run. It is unclear if he will be back in time for the first game of the season, but he may not be too missed. He recorded 24 total tackles last season and had only one tackle for loss.
