One of Auburn's top players likely to miss all of spring practice

Bad news for the player, but could it turn out to benefit the Tigers.

This could be a sign of a big position shift at Auburn.

According to Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn, quarterback Sean White is still recovering from his arm injury that he suffered in the Sugar Bowl, and it's possible that the quarterback could miss the entirety of spring practices.

White missing spring practices is probably the right move, as the quarterback has battled injuries in his two seasons with the school. However, things could get interesting at the Auburn quarterback position, as former five-star and Baylor transfer Jarrett Stidham will likely be the No. 1 quarterback for the Tigers. Stidham did well in his limited time as a freshman in 2015 at Baylor, and there is a good chance that he is able to lock down the starting spot with White out.

Auburn has been used to choosing between several quarterbacks over the past couple of years, and if Stidham emerges as the true No. 1, then Auburn fans have good reason to be excited for the upcoming season.
