2019 four-star safety Brendan Gant already eyeing three schools

One school might already have a nice in with him.

While most schools are focused on the 2018 recruiting cycle, there are some getting ahead on the 2019 cycle. It looks like there are three in particular trying to get ahead in four-star safety Brendan Gant's recruitment. He's ranked as a four-star safety and the No. 5 player at his position by 247Sports.

The 6'0", 170-pound talked to 247Sports and gave his top three schools. "The schools standing [out] the most are Florida State, Florida and USF. They're closer to home, so I can go see them whenever I want, and they keep in contact the most."

Florida already dipped into his high school —- Kathleen High in Lakeland —- when the Gators signed linebacker Ventrell Miller in the 2017 cycle. So you have to believe that having the connection between teammates can only bode well for UF.
