After eight months of commitment, the nation's top kicker has officially flipped to another SEC school

This is a huge win for these guys.

Dan Mullen has taken a couple of losses on the recruiting trail, but it looks like he is getting back in the win column with his latest flip. Former Mississippi State commit Evan McPherson has decided he is going to follow Dan Mullen to his next school as he made the flip official:

McPherson is the top-ranked kicker in the class of 2018 according to Rivals and would help solidify the special teams for Florida after Eddy Piniero leaves after next season. The 6-foot, 165-pound kicker had been committed to Mississippi State since April and officially flipped after he took a visit to Florida last week.

McPherson gives Florida its 13th commitment in the class of 2018 while they are ranked as the No. 16 class over and No. 6 in the SEC. He also has offers from Miami, Nebraska and Iowa State among others.
