Florida football player gets punched in the face, makes the right decision afterward

A mature decision from the young man.

Freshman defensive lineman Antonneous Clayton was involved in what could have been a nasty affair with the police. A female student was arrested rather than Clayton for reportedly punching him in the face.

According to Meryl Kornfield of The Independent Florida Alligator, 18-year old Aisia Shakiyla Valmyr was arrested on a battery charge after the incident, which was in Keys Residential Complex on campus. Kornfield cited a police report that said Clayton told police that he was punched and felt pain on the right side of his temple.

Clayton appeared in five games for the Gators and recorded three tackles. He is likely to become a starter on the defensive line next season with all of the departures to the NFL Draft from that unit for the Gators.
