The Florida-Georgia game is penciled in on the calendar the same weekend every year —- Halloween weekend. However, with Hurricane Matthew forcing LSU and Florida to postpone their game this weekend that game might get moved. Both Georgia and Florida have bye weeks the weekend before October 29 so there is potential for them to move their game up one week.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey has already said that the game will be made up regardless of date. There have been talks about having UF and LSU buy out their out of conference opponents for November 19 (Presbyterian for UF and South Alabama for LSU) to play the game then. However, LSU doesn't want that as it would be three consecutive away games in the span of 12 days.
Dawg Nation's Seth Emerson spoke to Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity about a potential move for the annual game held in Jacksonviille. The SEC presidents are expected to meet this week —- which was supposed to happen anyway —- and that will likely be a topic of discussion among them.

McGarity did point out that the Jacksonville Jaguars are set to host a game at EverBank Field on Sunday, Oct. 23, so playing a college game there would require adding 15,000 seats the week before and then quickly taking them out. That would also mean that all the fans who planned to stay in town the weekend after might get their reservations and everything screwed up so that's something to keep an eye on as well.
