Florida mainstay and popular restaurant being sold off in most unlikely way

This is too sad.

Florida students and alumni could be losing yet another Gainesville institution in the Copper Monkey. It is a supremely popular bar and restaurant in midtown right across from the stadium and it looks like it could be yours to own if you bid on it! The starting bid is $8,999.

The restaurant has been around since 1980 and the current bid at the time of this posting is $20,300 so clearly someone values the restaurant. It could be a killer business during football season considering its proximity to the stadium and that the campus is supposed to be dry on game days.
