Florida's win against LSU was a recruiting David and Goliath story

Jim McElwain can clearly recruit.

While LSU was favored by two touchdowns in its game against Florida, the Tigers could only muster 10 points and that was not enough to win as they fell 16-10. What might be more remarkable than beating a 13.5-point spread is the fact that Florida did it without the majority of its defensive playmakers.

That forced a lot of guys who weren't necessarily ready to play into the game and into service against one of the best rushing duos in the country in Derrius Guice and Leonard Fournette. Just to show how outmatched they should have been against a bunch of former four and five-star recruits, here's a graphic showing just much these guys resemble the "little guys" on the recruiting trail.

In fact, the man who got the best grade for the game was third-string three-star center T.J. McCoy. David Reese also led the Gators in tackles with 12 for the game and Lamical Perine had 38 rushing yards to help Jordan Scarlett cut up the vaunted LSU defense.
