Former Florida OL puts up embarrassing bench total at Gators Pro Day

I guess this is why he wasn't too good at halting the opposing defensive line.

Some Florida fans may remember offensive lineman Mason Halter as a guy that got pushed around quite a bit at the line. As it turns out, those Gator fans weren't imagining things, as the lineman only did nine bench reps of 225 at Florida's Pro Day on Tuesday.

NINE! For an offensive lineman!

Here are some comparisons for how unappealing that number is: former Florida State kicker Josh Hubner did 13 a few years ago, and former Miami punter Pat O'Donnell did 22 in 2014.

When it comes to the bench press, you probably don't want to be below the kickers and punters, especially when you are an offensive lineman.

Joking aside, most of the players around Halter's size are expected to put up at least 20 reps on the 225 bench, and putting up nine generally ranks below... well, everybody. Considering how bad Florida's offensive line was in 2015, this number might give you some insight.
