Four-star safety Amari Burney spurns Ohio State to stay with in-state powerhouse

Four-star safety Amari Burney just gave the Florida Gators a huge chunk of good news as he committed to play for them over the likes of Ohio State. That's the kicker for Florida fans considering how Urban Meyer left the program and then bolted for the Buckeyes. And you know it's legit because it got the coach McElwain tweet treatment:

The 6'2", 215-pound Clearwater, Fla. native will stay home to play his college football —- assuming he ends up signing his letter of intent with the Gators. The 247Sports Composite Rankings have him ranked as the No. 11 safety in the class and the No. 25 recruit in the state of Florida. He also had offers from Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Michigan and Louisville among others.
