Florida basketball was facing off against Vanderbilt at home on Saturday and football coach Jim McElwain took center court during a media timeout. McElwain loves to talk and he gets especially fired up around the fans so he kind of took off and made a pretty big promise for the people in attendance:

So McElwain definitely just promised Gator Nation that the football team would be back in the SEC title game next season. That’s despite not knowing who his quarterback will be and taking heavy losses on the defensive side of the ball. But he sure knows how to work a crowd!
