Miami under fire for potentially lying about Florida recruiting violation

Pathetic.

Schools will do almost anything to negatively recruit against other schools and it seems that Miami might be taking it to a whole new level. There were rumors that were surfacing that Florida was about to get hit with sanctions because of some serious recruiting violations and Miami perpetuated the rumors by asking Florida commits if they would reconsider because of those violations.

A message board post — which later made the rounds social media — alleged that two UF assistant coaches offered cash to a prospect at Homestead High School. The poster also alleged there's a video and it was provided to the NCAA. However, those claims have been refuted by Florida and the school says those claims are absolutely false.

The program source who spoke with SEC Country said Florida has not offered or recruited anyone from Homestead High School in three years with FSU's Ermon Lane (in 2014) as the last Homestead player UF recruited.
