It's understandable that some kids don't know about the older and retired coaches of college football's past, but to not know a coach who you used to play for is downright embarrassing. Redshirt junior running back David Williams at South Carolina was recruited by Steve Spurrier and gave this answer when asked about him heading back to Gainesville.
Of course, Florida fans know that Spurrier led the Gators to the greatest years of Florida football has ever seen and won a National Championship while doing it. For the 22-year old not to know that is pretty embarrassing and clearly shows a lack of respect for the history of the game by some of these young players.
