Mother of five-star RB and Florida State decommit James Cook says one school makes him feel 'at home'

Very interesting.

Five-star running back James Cook recently decommited from Florida State —- where his brother Dalvin played —- after being committed for a year. The depth they have at running back with a bunch of players only a year older than him probably played a part. It's also been reported that he is a huge fan of fellow five-star running back Zamir White and would want to team up with him in college.

That has opened the door for Georgia to get in on the action as White has already committed to the Bulldogs. Cook's mother, Varondria Burnett said that he had a completely different vibe to him after coming home from a camp in Athens as she told 247Sports.

"I know when James feels at home. I can tell he felt it when he came back from Georgia. My brother, who is a big Florida State fan, did too, and was like 'what did they do to them?' We had to see what they did to him."

The 5'11", 181-pound running back out of Miami Central High School is ranked as a five-star running back by Rivals and the No. 3 running back in the class according to the same service. He took a visit with his mother to Georgia in mid-June and she came away impressed. She said she loved the academic programs and the coaches so that has to bode well for the school going down the recruiting road.

Here are some of his highlights:
