Five-star RB Zamir White suffers devastating injury during his school's playoffs

This is just horrible.

Five-star running back Zamir White committed to Georgia back in June and even started the season tearing other teams to shreds. Unfortunately, he's suffered a torn ACL as confirmed on Monday to Dawgs247 by his high school coach Richard Bailey.

The injury occurred during the first round of White's high school playoffs in a 63-26 win. He rushed for 149 yards on only eight carries. He was taken out in the second half as a precaution after he took a helmet to the knee. However, he seemed to be fine that day as his coach said that White wasn't even limping afterward.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound running back will end his prep career with 7,173 rushing yards and 119 rushing touchdowns, along with 278 receiving yards and six touchdown catches and two kickoff returns for touchdowns. He is the No. 1 running back in the class of 2018 and No. 6 overall recruit according to 247Sports.

The Bulldogs will return D'Andre Swift, Elijah Holyfield, and Brian Herrien. Five-star running back James Cook is also committed in the 2018 class.

Here are some of his highlights:
