Despite commitment to LSU, four-star DB Kelvin Joseph set to take other official visits

This decision could come down to the wire.

Four-star defensive back Kelvin Joseph committed to LSU in February 2016, but the Baton Rouge prospect is still planning to take other official visits.

Joseph told Scout.com that Alabama, Florida and Florida State are still recruiting him hard, but LSU is still his top school.

"Those are just the top schools that have been recruiting me hard so I feel like I should give them a chance to recruit me and see if my decision is the right place for sure," Joseph said.

Joseph is visiting Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-LSU game on Nov. 4.

"LSU is still my top school, but it's just that others are still coming hard. It's hard to not talk to someone that's showing interest in you and coming hard so I'm just going to look into them."

Joseph also told Scout he likely won't make a decision until close to National Signing Day in February 2018.

Scout lists Joseph as the No. 1 player from the state of Louisiana and the No. 15 cornerback in the Class of 2018. The 6'1", 195-prospect is the site's No. 140 player overall.
