Ed Orgeron reportedly has an overwhelming amount of support to snag full-time LSU head coaching gig

The sample size is small, but Coach O has to love this.

Ed Orgeron, LSU's interim head coach, has garnered plenty of support to earn the full-time coaching gig.

But while the school is reportedly "up in the air" on whether to hand him the job, 72 percent of a polled 350 LSU fans believe Orgeron should stay put:

Orgeron and his crew tossed together a 3-0 record and averaged over 40 points per game for a brief winning streak before Alabama stomped the Tigers, 10-0.

If Coach O can win his remaining games, the fiery Cajun may just have an opportunity to remove the interim tag and stick around in Baton Rouge.

SEC Country notes while the majority of the poll favors Orgeron, there are over 31,000 LSU students and 225,000 living alumni.
