Some recruits decommit from schools because of changes to a coaching staff and that seemed to be the case for four-star dual-threat quarterback Lowell Narcisse. He committed to LSU a while back, but decommitted last week because the Tigers still hadn't found a new offensive coordinator by then.

However, he recommitted to LSU just days later. The difference? The Tigers hired Matt Canada as the offensive coordinator. Narcisse called into ESPN radio's "Culotta & The Fan" on WNXX-FM, 104.5, on Monday morning to elaborate on the past week. He admitted to pulling his verbal pledge to speed up LSU's search for an offensive coordinator.
"I wanted to help coach (Ed Orgeron) speed the process up by opening my recruitment and force him to move the process a little faster, and he did just that."
Narcisse will be competing with fellow LSU pledge Myles Brennan at quarterback, but will have the advantage of enrolling early in January. He is expected to go through spring practice despite an ACL tear he suffered in August.
