LSU AD believes LSU-BYU game will 'almost certainly' be moved next week

But where will it go?

Hurricane Harvey is bearing down on Houston and is expected to drop 50 inches or more of rain on the city by the time it dies down. That leaves the game between LSU and BYU in peril as it's supposed to take place in NRG Stadium in Houston. The game can't be moved a day back to Sunday because BYU does not allow its student-athletes to play on Sunday so it would have to move venues. LSU athletic director believes that the game "almost certainly" will be moved as he described in this statement:

He reminded fans that the school does not control where the game will be played as the AdvoCare Kickoff —- the official name of the game —- is a subsidiary of ESPN so the network ultimately decides where the game will be played. However, the Super Dome and Tiger Stadium are available for the relocation of the game if it comes down to it.
