LSU head coach Ed Orgeron hints at big-name hiring during introduction presser

Orgeron is wasting no time.

LSU introduced Ed Orgeron as its head coach Saturday morning after weeks of speculation on who the Tigers would go with.

Athletic director Joe Alleva cleared up rumors of offers to Jimbo Fisher and Tom Herman:

And took a clear shot at the presumed Texas head coach, Herman:

Orgeron hinted at the hiring of Lane Kiffin as the team's offensive coordinator, discussing the aspects of a coordinator he's looking for:

Orgeron also noted he expects defensive coordinator Dave Aranda to stick around, though competition could draw him away:

With the job locked up, Orgeron should start locking up assistants in the next few weeks. Or if it's Kiffin, it may just be a few months depending on Alabama's current run.
